Roton Point Association, located on 12.8 acres of
waterfront property in Rowayton, Connecticut, is a private
swimming, sailing, and tennis association.
Membership is limited to the 400 owners who purchased a
unit in this recreational condominium. New members must
buy or license a unit from one of the current 400 owners.
The facilities include a 25-meter swimming pool with
separate diving and kiddie pools, eight Har-Tru tennis
courts, storage and launch areas for small sailboats, a
swimming beach, a picnic grove overlooking Long Island
Sound, a restored Victorian bathhouse with a snack bar,
and a restored Victorian-era "hotel" for social events.
Summer programs include a Youth Activities Program for
children, tennis and sailing classes for children and
adults, weekend sailing races and annual regattas, tennis
and swimming competition, and a social calendar of dances
and other events.
Overall management of the Club is the responsibility of the
Officers and the Board of Directors. The General Manager, reports to the President of the
Board. Directors are member-volunteers elected for
three-year terms. The monthly Board meetings (3rd
Tuesdays) are open to all members. Anyone interested in
serving on the Board or on one of the committees should
contact the club president or the head of the committee. |
