Roton Point 4th of July
Weekend Rules and Regulations
As usual, everybody’s cooperation will be
needed to ensure we all have a safe, fun holiday!
Guest Policy
On Friday, July 4th (Fireworks Night), Full unit
owners will be limited to four guests per unit, half unit owners
are limited to two guests per unit. You must be on the premises
when your guests arrive.
Due to traffic concerns at the gate,
operations is requesting that guests be pre-registered. You may
call in your guest names to the Gate (203-838-1606, ext. 11) in
advance. You will still need to sign your charge ticket when you
arrive.
Helpful Tip: Limit the number of cars
you bring in, and use local Rowayton parking lots for extra
cars.
Grove Tables
On Friday, July 4th, Members may line up at the
Gate for Grove table reservations (gate opens at 7:00 AM;
earlier if the line reaches out onto Pine Point Road). Members
will be allowed to reserve one table per unit, and you can
reserve for your unit only – you cannot reserve for someone
else. When the Gate opens, proceed, in line, to the base of the
Grove, where you will be given a card with your name and unit
number. You may then proceed to the Grove to hunt down and “tag”
ONE table only and then exit the Grove right away. Because
others are waiting behind you, you may not unload your car at
this time. Please park your car in the lot and unload on foot,
or wait until the line has cleared to drive through again to
unload. The cars you “tag” your table with is for THAT day only.
Please be advised that there really is no need to line up so
early, the Club rents tables so there are enough tables for
everyone.
Traffic Rules for Fireworks Night
The Rowayton Civic Association sponsors the fireworks
display with the assistance and cooperation of local residents,
including Roton Point. The success of this event each year will
ensure its continuation and, therefore, your cooperation with
the traffic rules is extremely important. Relax, plan ahead,
arrive early, and enjoy the best fireworks display on the Sound.
The big show starts around 9:15 PM. Please take extra care to
get to the Club on time. The Gate closes to all vehicles at 8:00
PM (or earlier, if the parking lot fills up before that).
Walk-in traffic will be allowed until 8:30
PM. Once the Gate closes (at 8:00 PM or due to a full lot)
police will direct traffic to the parking lots at Rowayton
Elementary School. Illegally parked cars will be towed to the
Rowayton Community Center where they can be retrieved until
11:00 PM. (Let’s try to keep Roton Point cars from this fate!)
Also, to do our part for easing traffic congestion, after the
show is over no one (including walk-ins) will be permitted to
exit the Club until 30 minutes after the grand finale
(approximately 10:30 PM). Please follow the direction of the
Police and Fire Departments for a safe and orderly departure.
Fireworks Rain Date is Sunday, July 6th
Please remember! No personal fireworks, firecrackers,
sparklers, etc., are ever allowed at Roton Point.
Reminder!
The boats along the seawall are privately owned and are not
to be used as fireworks seating or general play without
permission. Please respect the property of others. Thank you.
